The almighty cookie.

And half eaten:

This post is in response to Saba’s comment regarding the cookie. It is a similar cookie to the one I had after just before lunch that day, which ruined my appetite.
I believe it is made up of oats and raisins – it is listed in the Food Centre as "Cookies Granola 400g", brand Antikovich. I can’t really tell as the ingredients list is all in hebrew:

Today, I had an peach apricot chicken dish, with some chickpea green beans salad and a cauliflower:

And the usual sandwiches for dinner:

Thanks to Navid for the tip – it’s apricot chicken not peach chicken.

Last night we went out to a restaurant (Litchi, in the Merkaz) for dinner with Saba and Sieni. They have Japanese and Thai cuisine, as well as some seafood dishes. Here’s Saba’s soup:

And him eating it – watch that shrimp!

I wasn’t hungry as I had had my sandwiches from lunch, so I ordered just a desert (crème roulé, with pineapple slices):

For lunch today, I decided to try the pasta (with mushroom and garlic):

It was pretty good. Also packed a couple of sandwiches for dinner – there was no long brown bread, only the white kind – oh well.
I also had a slice of quiche, which tasted a little eggy:

Tonight we had a wonderful presentation by the Bahá’í World Centre choir, titled Simple Gifts:

The hall was packed:

The presentation started on time:

It consisted of various performances, with both a sacred:

and light hearted theme:

They even brought the children on for one of the songs:

But my favourite was the “Prayer for the Hands of the Cause of God”, especially seeing as we had the privilege of having the Hand of the Cause Dr. ‘Alí-Muhammad Varqá with us:

Superb performance by the choir. They spent a lot of time practicing, and did a great job.
