Whatever is revealed by the Point hath been designated as the "Bayan." However, this name referreth in its primary reality to the divine verses, and in its secondary reality to prayers, third to commentaries, fourth to educational forms, and fifth to the Persian words. Yet, this exalted appelation, on the basis of its intrinsic worth, solely denote […]

Even during those crowded days in London the Master never appeared tense or frustrated, wondering how He could do all that seemed to be required of Him. He knew His purpose and thus all things fell into their proper perspective. Before He left London in 1913 at the close of His second visit, He gave a talk at Cadogan Gardens, clearly stating that teaching th […]

Lunch – ghormeh sabzy

Ghormeh Sabzy is an Iranian dish which is usually made with vegetables, beans and meat. I had some for lunch today:

And a tuna sandwich for dinner:

This was Mara’s plate – she was sitting next to me. Dunno, doesn’t seem like that much food:

And a drink (not mine) – I was trying to get the bubbles to show up in the picture:

Movie – Harry Potter 4

Saturday evening at the movies. We went to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the fourth in the series:

How does one show photos of a cinema experience? Well, here’s the view to my left:

And to my right, including me:

Entertainment while waiting for the entertainment to start (the patented EinE experience), provided by Nintendo DS:

And of course some popcorn:

Wait, the evening wasn’t a total waste! Some more pistachio ice cream:

I actually quite enjoyed the movie, having seen the first three movies in the series a week earlier.

Dinner – kotlet

Last night we had dinner at Saba and Sieni’s. They graciously invited me over for food before going out for a movie.

Kotlet is an Iranian dish consisting of patties made up of eggs and vegetables and/or ground meat. Here’s the kotlet:

And the rice:

And salad:

On a dish:

And us enjoying it:

Dinner – Tatami

Last night, after the talk four of us went out for dinner to a Japanese restaurant called Tatami. The prices are a little expensive compared to other places to eat out, but the food is good. We started with Miso soup:

For the main dish we ordered the Tatami special - a mix of sushi arranged in a wooden boat:

The view from the back of the boat:

Here are Aram and Ross:

I’d just like to say that despite what it looks like, Ross enjoyed the food – he had just had a piece with a heap of wasabi. Here’s Quddus with a mouth full:

The green tea in these Japanese restaurants is amazing:

Here I am pouring myself some:

Very filling meal. On the walk home however, I couldn’t resist the ice cream. My favorite flavor: pistachio!
